Umnikelo WokuQamatala / The Beginning of Return – Dear Moon Gatherers!

This workshop presentation expands Umnikelo WokuQamatala/ The Beginning of Return into a space of collective meditation, video installation, storytelling, and cross-cultural dialogues. It invites the Brunnenpassage community and participants from Vienna into the ongoing processes of gathering, weaving and returning, bringing together personal memories, inherited stories, and shared artistic experiences. Through multi layered collaborative engagement, participants are invited to reflect and re-member collective healing processes while navigating the complexities of sustaining and contributing into fragile and vulnerable communities. The workshop aims to create a shared space where stories of renewal and transformation can fluidly move between bodies and cultures. This encounter becomes an exchange between different experiences of home, belonging, migration, memory, and body.
