Queer Tango and Co-creation with Natalia Hecht and Serkan Bozkurt / Mon 4.12.2023, 5-8 pm

Serkan and Natalia met in Brunnenpassage in 2017-18. Serkan works in contemporary dance and queer tango and Natalia in collective creation processes. They now join their experiences in inclusive dance to open the doors of the milongas to everyone.
Through a variety of tango-inspired exercises, this workshop will allow participants to explore connection as a multi-layered experience. The workshop will begin by listening to each other‘s bodies, exploring the embrace and listening to the music. It continues with basic steps of being together, moving together, using the space as ground for co-creation. Partly dancing alone to feel the music inside the body will be encouraged, but mostly dancing all together and sharing the space between each other will be focused. Its aim is to create a sense of togetherness, where everyone feels part of a collective experience. It is dancing to embark on a journey of discovery, learning and unlearning, experiencing many exciting possibilities to express ourselves together.
