Performance Practices with Denise Palmieri / So 5.3.2023, 14-17 pm

The workshop will be an afternoon of sharing practice that involves aspects of performance preliminaries such as warming up, voice exercises, meditations and affirmations to build a state of mind being ready to perform by knowing how one’s body works and how to activate it in a mindful way. Performance is a work that is about being ready to act in reaction to whatever is happening now.
So in this workshop we will, in a very embracing way, be conscious of what we bring, who we are and how we can navigate the space we are asking for or being asked to perform.

Denise Palmieri is a Brazilian artist based in Vienna. As a performance artist, she mixes experience and consciousness unfolding ritualistic aspects of the body and the voice questioning binary, normative knowledge production.

Participation in the workshop is open to everyone, previous experience is not necessary.
