Sensing Clouds, Grounds, and Flows

A workshop on the sensory perception of the bodies of water | Sa 20.6.2026, 10 am–1 pm

Clouds, ground, rivers – the water cycle connects bodies, habitats, and landscapes. How can we connect with these waters through our senses? How do groundwater flows feel? 
How can we perceive the pulse of the Danube, or communicate with the Danube ecosystem and all the living beings within it? 
Three projects at the intersection of art and science invite you to engage with these bodies of water through playful experiments and to contribute your own experiences to the artistic research process.

The projects are developed in 2026 by the design duo mischer'traxler, and the artists Paula Nishijima and Regina Hügli in collaboration with TU Wien and other research institutions as part of the European S+T+ARTS Aqua Motion Program.
